Mike McCullough is a well known singer and guitarist on the front range and Eastern Colorado. Originally from Pueblo, he received his music degree from Hardin- Simmons University and then traveled extensively singing and performing throughout the U.S. with his wife Lorraine, who is a gifted pianist. They have produced 4 recordings of original Christian music.
He is amazingly versatile with over 45 years experience playing everything from country music to Broadway to Coltrane. He sings in 5 languages – English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Latin – and his vocals have been compared to such icons as Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, and Frank Sinatra. Similar to George Benson, his scat singing is extraordinary, singing in tandem with his guitar lines.
Mike has worked with some of the best in the business including Mark Best, Mark Edwards, Carolyn and David Martin, Terry Gregg, Bijoux Barbosa, Lannie Garrett, Ken Walker, Ron Bland, Justin Adams, Charlie Smith, Carlos Crull, Todd Reed, Bill Stephens, and more. He also worked for a number of years with his son Morgan, an accomplished bass player, in a group called the Atomic Brass Project.
He currently lives with his wife in Kit Carson County Colorado. He has to drive over 2 hours to Denver for nearly every gig we play! He teaches K-12 music in the public schools and serves as worship leader at his church in Vona. He also owns a recording studio and has helped many artists record, mix, and master many albums, including several of ours.
